Robert MacDonald, exhale’s Director of Healing, and Mike Berkley, founder of The Berkley Center for Reproductive Wellness, have come together to build and manage a team of highly skilled healers who offer fertility and reproductive wellness services to support our guests on the journey of transformation from patient to parent.

ABOUT THE BERKLEY METHOD
Exhale’s team of master acupuncturists are now fully trained in The Berkley Method of Reproductive Wellness — a sensible and sensitive complementary medical approach to the treatment of male and female infertility. The Berkley Method focuses on treating reproductive disorders with a comprehensive approach involving acupuncture, herbal fertility medicine, nutrition, yoga and core strengthening, and massage therapy. This type of approach can be effective in treating infertility issues such as endometriosis, PCOS, high FSH, low sperm count, sperm DNA fragmentation, low ovarian reserve, and advanced maternal age.

Studies have shown that using acupuncture and herbal fertility medications in conjunction with IVF or IUI increase the chances of conceiving significantly. The Berkley Methods focus is on healing the underlying cause or causes of infertility. Our approach is straightforward: first we help you to achieve greater overall health, then we focus on greatly enhancing your reproductive function.

MERGING OF EASTERN + WESTERN MEDICINE
Our team of practitioners can work together with your Reproductive Endocrinologist or OB/GYN to support the treatment they are providing for you. Several studies have shown that acupuncture can increase the success rate of IVF. The Berkley Method has shown promising results in improving IUI outcomes as well. INITIAL CONSULT  90 MIN | $250
Includes an extensive intake and evaluation of the guest and any test results they may have from their Western doctors, followed by the first acupuncture fertility treatment.

FOLLOW-UP SESSION  30 MIN | $135
Includes a follow-up review of the guest’s progress and any recent test results, followed by an acupuncture treatment. Acupuncture treatments are recommended twice weekly until conception occurs, including pre- and post-embryo transfer.

QUICK START  3 MONTHS | $3120
• Two sessions per week (24 sessions)
• One Core Fusion® or yoga class per week
• One 60-minute Fusion Massage within those three months

Intended for patients 34 years or younger with an FSH level less than or equal to 15, who are not in premature ovarian failure, have never been pregnant, and are preparing for the first intra-uterine insemination (IUI) or in-vitro fertilization (IVF). This program will help increase the chances of a successful conception and pregnancy through IUI or IVF with a combination of acupuncture, natural herbal medicine, and massage to enhance fertility.

START + FINISH  6 MONTHS | $6240
• Two sessions per week (48 sessions)
• One Core Fusion® or yoga class per week
• Two 60-minute Fusion Massages within those 6 months

Intended for patients 35 years or older with an FSH level that is equal to or greater than 15, who are not in premature ovarian failure but have had one or more miscarriages. This program will help achieve pregnancy, followed by 13 weeks of therapy to take you through the danger zone of miscarriage (90% of miscarriages occur within the first 12 weeks).

BY-YOUR-SIDE  9 MONTHS | $9360
• Two sessions per week (72 sessions)
• One Core Fusion® or yoga class per week
• Three 60-minute Fusion Massages within those 9 months

Intended for patients 35 years or older with an FSH level that is equal to or greater than 15, who are not in premature ovarian failure but have had one or more miscarriages in the second or third trimester or a history of still-born delivery. Many second or third trimester miscarriages are due to immunological factors or thrombophilic (blood clotting) disorders. This program incorporates herbal medicine to assist in either repressing and regulating a hyper-immune state that may be attacking your embryos (immunological), or to enhance blood-flow to the developing blastocyst and placenta.  Improved blood flow may help reduce the chances of miscarriage, which can often be caused by thrombophilic disorders. You will also be under the care of a reproductive endocrinologist.
