OUR DVDs
BODY SCULPT
This is the classic introduction to Core Fusion®. The classic positions
are broken down with detailed instructions and variety in levels so it
is great for both basic and more advanced students. The upper body work
is the arm series from class using hand weights. The thigh work is
classic V position, parallel and second position, and stretches. The
glute work is fold over the bar. The abdominal work has feet on the wall
while in the curl and the classic curl position. The stretches follow
the class format. (Purchase now)
PILATES PLUS
More classic Core Fusion® positions, but different than Body Sculpt as
the focus here is more core work, and less leg work. Upper body has both
forearm and straight arm planks and both front and reverse pushups. The
thigh work is the hinge position, which is a core thigh exercise, very
intense! The glute work is Table Top. Also included is the flat back
and round back variations from class. The abdominal work is the curl
position with different variations than the Body Sculpt DVD. All
exercises offer levels from basic to more advanced. (Purchase now)
THIGHS + GLUTES
In this DVD, the focus is on…you guessed it, thighs and glutes!
Featuring the classic V position as in Body Sculpt, but expanded upon
the on the concept by adding a C curve single leg set as well as a water
ski variation on the theme. You will find the classic parallel position
as in Body Sculpt, but also variation by adding a block between the
thighs for more inner thigh focus. Included is an intense version of
knee dancing which is a real thigh burner and incase that isn’t enough,
the bonus track has a single leg thigh set which is great for anyone
with knee issues or just for a good challenge combining balance and
strength. For gluteal work, experience the classic bar standing seat
toner, then kneeling seat toner, as well as the ever-popular pretzel
position. All exercises are accompanied by their appropriate stretches
and offer levels from basic to more advanced. (Purchase now)
PURE ARMS + ABS
The focus here is as stated - for arms we use weights and offer
different Core Fusion arm variations than in Body Sculpt. Also
introduced is the resistance band (which comes with the DVD). These arm
exercises are found in exhale’s Core Fusion Sport class. The resistance
band is incorporated in very creative abdominal positions including
Pilates roll downs and classic curl. The curl variations are totally
different from Pilates Plus and a lot of leg combinations are used to
increase the challenge. All exercises have levels from basic to more
advanced. (Purchase now)
LEAN + TONED
Bringing the mind/body spa experience home, Elisabeth and Fred teach
Lean & Toned like one of exhale’s nationally renowned Core Fusion®
classes. Subtle but intense moves increase your heart rate, helping you
burn calories and lose weight as you tone. Soon you’ll have flat abs,
firm glutes, chiseled arms, and slender legs. And since the unique Core
Fusion® approach mixes stretching and sculpting moves, your newly
defined muscles will be long and lean. Reshape your body, and enjoy the
workout the celebs are raving about! Includes 5 min. bonus stretch. (Purchase now)
ASK THE CREATORS
Fred DeVito and Elisabeth Halfpapp respond to questions we’ve
received about Exhale: Core Fusion Pilates Plus and Body
Sculpt.
Q: How is Core Fusion® different from Pilates and yoga?
A: Core Fusion®, with components of both Pilates and yoga, has an
identity all its own. The CF positions are a blend of Lotte Berk
positions, Pilates concepts, and yoga breathing and stretching. The
combination produces a higher level of challenge and intensity—plus safe
and fast results.
Q: What are the Lotte Berk Method elements? What is your background
with this method?
A: Elements from the Lotte Berk Method are incorporated in each
10-minute session. For example, you will use a chair as a barre for
thigh/gluteal sessions. The barre work is inspired by Lotte’s dance
background. We managed the Lotte Berk Method exercise studio for 22
years, teaching about 30 classes per week, training other teachers, and
helping to develop and enhance the method.
Q: How many times a week should I do this DVD to see results? And
should I mix it with cardio?
A: This program will give you fastest results the more you do it and the
harder you work at reaching more advanced levels in the positioning.
Try to do it a minimum of three times per week. If you are able to add
two days a week of cardio to this routine, you’ll burn even more
calories and see visible lean muscle mass within four weeks.
Q: I have a tendency to bulk my muscles when I engage in sculpting
programs. Will Core Fusion Body Sculpt bulk my muscles?
A: You will develop long, lean, defined muscles because of the balance
of strength and immediate stretching of the muscle group you are
working.
Q: Will the Core Fusion Pilates Plus DVD help me lose weight?
A: Yes. You will gain muscle density doing the workouts. Increasing
muscle density is like giving the engines of your body a tune-up,
resulting in a greater resting metabolic rate and total caloric burn
around the clock. Reducing caloric intake while increasing caloric
expenditure usually results in a safe decrease in body weight.
