micheline berry
Micheline Berry's work in yoga and somatic dance integrates apas (water) with agni (fire), flow with dynamic stillness, power with surrender, challenge with skill. Her classes bring you into alignment with your own personal potential to thrive both on and off the mat by teaching you how to source deep, transformational states of "pranic" flow and meditation. In addition to her own somatic explorations, her classes integrate Shiva Rea's Prana Vinyasa Flow Yoga as well as Ashtanga, Forrest and Iyengar influences and are informed by her years of study of somatic dance, Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism and Native American purification ritual.
A dancer, yogini, musician and award-winning filmmaker, Micheline has a powerful ability to bring people together and to inspire their creativity through the healing arts of yoga, ecstatic dance, world music. As the founder of Zen Dancing® and co-producer of Shaman's Dream, she has led over 400 ecstatic dance and world music ritual concerts since 1996. Her work has appeared on the BBC, Lifetime Television as well as Harper’s Bazaar, Shape and LA Magazines, LA & London Times. She recently produced and directed her first yoga series “Liquid Asana: The Power of Vinyasa Flow Yoga” coming out in April 2007.
